Tony was born, educated and lived most of his life in Wellington. He attended Wellington School of Design before entering the workforce as an illustrator. More recently working as an Internet Manager running one of the most successful Internet sites in New Zealand, before leaving the corporate world for the far-north to pursue his life long love of painting. He has resided in Kerikeri for the last 5 years with his wife Wendy.

“My work comes from a collection of information, with intuition and feel contributing to a large degree. Sometimes finding myself as part of the scene, expressing feelings, colours, textures that bubble up from memory buried deep within. The painting takes on a life of it's own, telling me where and how the light dances upon the scene.”
